Derek Pitman on Adams Dry Flies
1 December 2008 | Admin
I said that I hoped to have a repeat performance today of last week's very successful use of your Adams Parachute fly. It was even better! I caught (and returned) 20 trout including one brown (attachment) of nine and a half pound, one rainbow of seven and a half pounds, three of seven and five of 5 pounds. The rest were about the 3-4 pound mark. What a great day!
This fly has proved to be one of the best I have ever used. Curiously it will take equally as well when wet and sunk. Very odd considering that it is an obvious dry fly! When it sinks I have found that a steady draw induces smash takes.
I am enormously impressed with the quality and 'catchability' of your flies.
