The detached drake has always worked well in the mayfly season and later in the year when the crane flies are out. I found this batch to be light on hackle and lasted a couple of drifts before getting waterlogged. I tried crimping the barbs on a couple but ended up snapping the hook, not great quality it would seem. When they caught a fish that was it, the fly was pretty well destroyed, so all in all 2 stars.
