I bought this vice when I first started fly tying on the advice from a fly tier. As he put it, its cheap well made and will last. I found personally, it is cheap cost wise, but is well made and easy to use. The metal is of the high quality and the vice is easy to use for either the left or right hander. The vice stem is long enough to allow you to use add on, such as sight board, magnifying glass, light, gallows and salmon fly attachment. Over all I give it 10/10
