We love these simple, ultra lightweight and strong micro rings. We put them on the end of our leaders when we add a length of stroft and to tie on droppers. When you need to replace either simply re-tie directly to a micro ring and you are away.
Here is a photo with 0.22mm 5.1Kg Stroft line tied for middle dropper. As you can see the micro tippet is extremely small and does not affect the fly line in any way, however for droppered leaders it means you can snip away a dropper and re-tie without affecting the rest of the dropper making this a highly efficient method of making your own droppers.

Just used once so far, to extend an ever shortening leader back to 9ft. No affect on casting. Very useful but their tiny size make them something to tie on at home, not on the bank.

Thought I'd give them a try! However I didn't bother as the rings appear to be squared or at least edged! Breaking line when tied on and pressure applied (not too much pressure either) so carry them in my kit just in case others want to "Give them a try" I'll stick to knots in the line

Hey Joseph, to be honest with my eyes and fingers at times I am not sure if anything less than 25mm rings would do! I must admit to loving using these but they are small. I only use them at home in preparation for a trip when I create any leaders if I need anything special.With them being small doing it on my desk is ideal so that I don't drop them. However small and ultra lightweight means that these do not alter the cast or turnover of the leaders.
