With its hollow fibres roe deer makes a superb fly tying materials, it is widely used in many patterns from Muddlers to caddis. Our picric acid dyed Roe Deer enhanced this stunning materials further with a natural olive hue to the tips of the roe deer and stunning yellow highlights. Try for tails of dry flies!

Picric Acid Dye

Picric Acid dyed products have always been adored by fly tyers for the stunning olive color produced once materials have been dyed in the solution. However conserns over the Picric in crystal form have introduced misconceptions over this amazing dye. By working with professional chemists Semperfli have developed a safe Picric Acid solution.

PLEASE NOTE: All dyed products are washed after dying prior to drying, some colour transfer is normal but not dangerous.
