Andy

Andy is Managing Director of The Essential Fly. A passionate fisherman Andy has fished all around the world for fish as diverse as Sailfish and Marlin in Australia, Cobb in South Africa, Mahseer in the Himalayas and Brown Trout in the River Wye!

Ann

Ann, Sales and Marketing Director,  is relatively new to fishing, having been dragged in by Andy! However now she is really enjoying the sport. Also a vegetarian and Healer one thing is guaranteed, every fish is put back gently with love ...........ahhh!

Terry

Terry runs our warehouse and back-office functions. Terry is Mr Happy in the team, always singing and whistling! Terry is first to answer the telephone and deal with customer queries.

David is Finance Director and looks after the very important official Company matters. An Accountant and Auditor, he has years of experience under his belt. Outside of work, David loves enjoying the outdoors, especially the Peak District.

Sandy

Sandy has been tying flies commercially for decades. A prolific tyer and designer. Sandy is responsible for the deadly Blank Buster range and many top flies available today. Sandy has previously worked for Fulling Mill and Crystal River and has been responsible for bringing in many flies that are in use today.

 Joyce

Joyce is Finance Manager for the group and keeps sales, purchase ledgers in check.

Simon

Simon is General Manager and looks after the day to day running of the business.  Si is also a passionate musician and most weekends can be seen playing in a band at various gigs around the region.

Jerry

Jerry Lee was secretary for the Fly Dressers Guild and ties flies for the England Fly Fishing team amongst many others. A fanatical fly fisherman and great fly tyer Jerry has been developing some stunning lure patterns based on the Semperfli Range of materials.

Sarah

Sarah runs front of house at all of our shows. Sarah also regularly helps out with customer services and back office sytems.

Darius

Darius runs the retail displays at all of our shows ensuring that all products are displayed beautifully and available for customers.

Bill

Bill runs the logistical side of our operation for dying and manufacture of chenilles.

Our chenilles are specially manufactured in Europe and shipped to Bulgaria where they are dyed before being shipped to the UK for partners and customers.

Jane

Jane develops new dyes, techniques and colours for our dyes and manages the dying process for materials.

Jane and our Bulgarian office also manufacturer and embroider our trout & salmon bags.
