Package and Postage:
When you have chosen your flies, postage and packing charges needs to be applied. For UK delivery normally up to 7 working days (usually because of Post Office Delivery!). We try and ship next day where possible. If your order is temporarily out of stock, you will be informed via e-mail. You will have the option of either choosing a different item/fly or to wait for the order to arrive - an estimated date will be given.
We may send items in part shipments to expedite orders.
All goods shall remain the property of The Essential Fly until they have been paid for in full.
To expedite orders and minimise shipping costs we reserve the right to substitute flies. We will substitute flies of a different size.
Returns from the customer:
"Under the Distance Selling Regulations you have 7 working days from the day following receipt of the goods in which to cancel this order. Cancellation may be made by phone or email". You will have received your rights to cancel via automated e-mail.
You, the consumer will be responsible for paying for the returned flies, we recommend that a receipt of postage by the Royal Mail or Recorded Delivery. When sending your return we would ask that the flies are sent back in the original packaging un-used. We ask that you take reasonable care of your flies, these must be un-used.
We ask that you return your delivery note with the package. This will allow us to refund your account quicker.
If your return comply with the Distance Selling Regulations, you will be granted a full refund. .
Additional discounts are available at the fishing basket for volume purchases, these will be applied automatically at the till.
Gift Vouchers / Credit Notes
Gift vouchers and credit notes are valid for 1 year from point of issue. If not used then these will become invalid and cease to work. If out of date they may have no value. At no stage can Gift Vouchers or Credit notes be exchanged for cash.
Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our catalogue, and click on any items that you wish to buy and put them into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on "Order" and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to satisfy the order.
Credit Card Payments
We accept Paypal, Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Switch, Solo and Delta payments over the Internet.
All UK prices quoted are in sterling (UK pounds) and include VAT at the current rate. It is possible to amend the displayed currency to that of your locality, through use of the currency selection tool.
Due to fluctuations in supplier price, we reserve the right to change our prices without notice. Although any such price changes will be applied instantly to this web site, allowing you to be aware of them before ordering. Errors and omissions excepted.
Prices displayed on our site are in your chosen currency. The actual bank transaction itself however is arranged in GBP. When confirming your order, a transaction request is sent to your bank to release funds to us. It is possible that your bank will operate on a different exchange rate to that used by ourselves (we used the LIBOR rate), which could result in minor fluctuations in the total amount that you are billed. This is not something that we can affect, though would like you to be aware of in advance of ordering with us.

Special Offers and Free Gifts
All special offers are subject to availability. Free gifts and special offer discounts are only available at the time of ordering. The free gift offer may not appear on your order, but the item will be sent if the requirement of the order is met.
We endevour to despatch same day or next day. We will normally dispatch your order within 7 business days.
Delivery time normally takes between 1-3 days depending upon location within the British Isles, but may on occasion take up to 14 days. Overseas orders may vary in time to arrive due to international postal systems.
If your item is not in stock, we will back order for you. You will always be emailed with the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait.
Tax / VAT
Dealers and resellers will be issues with VAT invoices on request.
