Quite possibly the best thread I have ever used. Why would anyone use cheaper alternatives

Plus point first - strong, lies flat and splits easily or can be twisted for pin point accuracy at a tying in spot. Negative points - cost, at over £12 for 3 spools including postage and packing, I'll be using it sparingly. Does not take die easily. The black is more like a dark grey.
Excellent thread for small flies, very strong.

A superb thread for tying small flies, splits easily for dubbing and strong enough for deer hair.

I thought it was hype about this silk, but I've tied my best flies ever with this product. Thin but very strong. Highly recommend.

Have looked for this in black for a while until we found it with you. We now know where to get it when needed. Other materials as well. Thank you once again.

The only defect one can find to this tying thread is that it is a bit pricey, but heck! what is not? It is really unbreakable (do not use your best scissors!), to the point that I use it for small trout streamers, and it flattens very nicely for dry fly tying.

The 12/0 is now my 'go to' thread for everything! It's so incredibly fine and extremely strong I don't seem to need anything else - and can create some wonderfully neat patterns with ease.
