In Slovenia there is an area called Most na Soci, and it sits on the confluence of two rivers, the Soca, which flows down from the north, and the Idrijca, which comes from the east. these rivers of Slovenia have a unique and stunning quality all of their own. The Soca and Idrijca flow through the purest white limestone, and the minerals give the pools a strange turquoise tinge but the water is as clear as glass. Because of the water clarity here you can spot fish that seem close enough to touch, when in reality they are six feet down. It was here that Marjan Fratnik learned his skills and he also lived in Milan. It was Marjan Fratnik that developed an extremely effective trout fly called the F Fly.
