The Royal Wulff is based on the Royal Coachman with a peacock herl and red silk body. It was first tied by Lee Wulff as part of the series of Wulff dry flies. The Royal Wulff is not an imitative pattern but with the red body is designed to stimulate the trout's inquisitivenes. Use the ROyal Wulff when on hard fished waters where trout are selective. The Royal Wulff and other Wulff's are used as great Mayfly imitations.
