Sometimes called the G&H Sedge, Goddard's Caddis or Goddard's Natural Caddis was devised by John Goddard and Cliff Henry at Bough Beech reservoir in Kent. This fly can imitate a wide range or larger sedge flies and is unique in its wing construction. Using highly bouyant deer hair cipped to a wing shape. The Goddard Caddis has achieved wide popularity on both sides of the Atlantic.

G&H Sedge/ Goddard Natural Caddis

These flies are not only so well tied that they last for several toothy takes by Rainbow Trout, but both in Yorkshire stillwaters and in British Columbia big rivers they are 100% reliable catchers. To old eyes like mine they are very VISIBLE - that's really important to me.
