Mr Ernest and Frank Veniard started Veniard in 1923 initially collection feathers from London Poultry markets for brooches and hat mounts. Turkey Marabou is part of their modern range of fly tying products. This led them naturally into the fly tying materials. By the mid 1930's Veniard produces its first fly tying catalogue and had established a good reputation for supplying quality fly tying materials by the start of World War 2.
