I used this for the first time with a team of flies with just the top dropper floating. The single treated fly stayed afloat excellently with the other two flies suspended below. So the treated fly acted perfectly like a float for the others. I was fishing a loch with a fair wave so again the conditions were demanding. I think that is about as demanding a task for a floatant as you can get. The substance certainly is easiest used once warmed a bit. Air temperature was about 10 C when I used it and it was almost a solid. Might be tempted to keep it in an inside pocket on cooler days in the future.
