The Grffiths Gnat is a universal trout fly and is a fantastic grayling fly. Although called a gnat this is actrually an all purpose dry fly effective on rivers and lakes. It works best in small sizes where it can be suggestive of many different small creatures trapped in the sufrace film. It also makes a very good reporesentation of small chromomid midges in a mating ball.
