A midge starts life in muddy water as a bloodworm or chironomide which is blood red in color. When ready to emerge this wiggles to the surface and this is when we use a 3D Glass Epoxy Bead Head (BH) Bloodworm to imitage this stage of the midge's life. I bought this fly and a few similar types in order to Fish one of my favourite methods, ie., "New Zealand" fashion underneath a "klinkhammer" indicator, for Carp.
I don't have those flies anymore, I was snapped-off twice in as many casts. Fantastic Flies ! I'm going to beef-up my tippet for the next visit. Great Sport, Great Service, many thanks.
