Ally's shrimp is said to be the worlds most popular flies. It was invented by Alistair Gowans better known as Ally Gowans, probably the best inventor of salmon flies in the world. These are now used world-wide. Ally invented not only the Allys shrimp but the Allys Cascade flies, these are incredible catchers of Atlantic Salmon but are also attributed for many Steelhead and Sea Trout through the world. Ally's shrimp is our most popular selling salmon fly with Allys Yellow Shrimp and Allys Red Shrimp close behind.

Tail:	hot orange bucktail (with Krystal hair if desired).
Body:	half red and half black floss silk with medium oval tinsel rib.
Underwing:	grey squirrel top and bottom.
Overwing:	bunch of GP tippets.
Collar hackle:	hot orange.
Head:	red thread or varnish
